Get them to eat their veggies without them even noticing!
Green juice is a great way to get your kids loaded up with fruits and veggies when they’re on-the-go (which, let’s be honest, is most of the time!). Here are some fun ways to add a green juice to their day.
1. Stick to Sweeter Juices
Kids might not love the bitter flavor of celery or kale-forward juices. Try giving them a green juice that features bananas, apples, or pineapple. Not only are these fruits packed with vitamins and minerals, but they also have a sweeter profile that kids will love.
2. Start them young
We love the blog Kids Eat in Color and one of their tips is to start a positive relationship with vegetables young. Tell them about how Spinach is packed with iron, and iron helps you grow stong! The more they understand that food is good, the better their relationship with it will be. The way you explain these vegetables will be different by age - and the Kids Eat in Color Instagram is a great place to get some tips.
3. Give them a fun name!
If the colour is keeping your kids from drinking green juice we recommend trying out a fun name for the juice! Hulk Shake, Mike Wazowski’s Potion, Monster Mash, or the name of another fun character your kid loves might be the secret to making them love the juice.
4. Try a popsicle
Sweeter juices like our La Bamba or Good Vibrations also taste delicious frozen! Pouring them into popsicle molds makes them a nice, portable way to load up on veggies (and it also feels like a treat!).
5. Create a special smoothie
Sometimes a little yogurt, extra banana, and a dash of sweetener can make all the difference. Take any Jusu green juice, and blend it with some yogurt, frozen fruit or ice, and serve. It’s a quick and easy way to pack in nutrients, especially on busy school day mornings.
