How To Transition To An All Natural Skincare Routine

Transitioning your skincare routine to all-natural products can be a daunting task especially if you don’t know where to start. Here are 7 transition tips for those who are looking to move on to chemical-free products.

 

  1. Take a look at the products in your current routine. When cutting out products starting with those containing heavy metals, parabens, sulphates, and phthalates are a good place to start. That can be a big process, so we suggest starting with three or four harmful ingredients to start. As an example, you can start by cutting out all products with microbeads.
  2. Learn how to read ingredients to red flag for chemicals. Labels can be confusing to say the least, many can be filled with unpronounceable words and greenwashing. Do a little research on chemicals to avoid – the more research you do the easier it will get to scan labels!
  3. Transition Slowly. Throwing everything away can be really overwhelming and costly. It is better to transition products out slowly not only for your bank account but your skin as well. If you transition everything all at once your skin can react negatively. We suggest introducing one natural product at a time to ensure that no reaction occurs.
